NicolE Mayhew

Nicole has pursued both painting and sculpture throughout her life. Though attaining a graduate degree in sculpture from the Rhode Island School of Design, her original compulsion to paint inspires her sculptural work and vise-verse. Both are most often created with recycled materials and found objects. The work is genuine, honest and emotional. Each piece, like an individual, owns itself and its medium. While her inspiration is drawn from many different sources, she mainly regards her paintings as simply a form of personal expression, and entirely selfish in the best kind of way.
